The Bees Behind the Buzz
TBK - The Bees Knees is the brainchild of Aimee Buckert, a Chicago native who moved to Texas in 2019. With a passion for clothes, gift giving, and shopping in general, Aimee quickly fell in love with Highland Village’s Painted Tree. After spending so much time there, Aimee was inspired to start her own boutique. In early 2020, she and a friend launched a home decor and gift boutique, E.Bee Ho use. Despite opening just before the pandemic hit, the boutique thrived post-Covid, leading Aimee to expand into the world of fashion in March of 2021 - and TBK - The Bees Knees was born.
Aimee’s love of fashion and gifting came about naturally from her mother, Betsy Karlson. Betsy joined Aimee as a partner in early 2023, bringing her own expertise and shared passion for helping women feel their best. Together, Aimee and Betsy are committed to curating stylish, affordable clothing and unique gifts, making every shopping experience a personal one.

Argyle - We are typically open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 10-5 pm. Wednesdays we are open from 10-7 pm. Our boutique is closed Saturday-Monday, however, we’re available for private shopping! Contact us at 940-294-6743 and we will do our best to accommodate your needs!
Highland Village - Painted Tree is open 10-8 daily!

Highland Village - 2240 Justin Road - We’re located in the Painted Tree in booth E12. Head down the center aisle, we’re just past the middle on the right, look for the gold hangers!

Argyle - Returns are not accepted, however, we’re happy to exchange unworn/unused items within 14 days. Items must have original tags and packaging and be stain/damage free.
Highland Village - The Painted Tree accepts returns/exchanges within 48 hours.

Yes, we offer gift cards of any value. Complementary gift wrapping is available upon request!

We have women’s clothing in standard sizing with some items catering towards our ladies with curves. We also have a variety of accessories such as purses, pouches, jewelry and hair clips. You’ll want to be sure to check out our line of hand poured, soy candles and our signature laundry wash (now in soap, lotion, and room spray)!
